Lots in this price range are often on the slopes of the mountains. There are a few lots in Taluswood and a new lot development called Kadenwood, both above Whistler Creek. You can ski to and from many of these lots. A few lots remain in Sunridge Plateau near the village and you can ski to these lots. There are also a limited number of large lots scattered throughout the valley.

Whistler lots are usually not large, typically less than one acre. Even in this price range, the size of house you can build varies with the lot and development, but they are usually between 4,000 square feet and 7,000 square feet. Many are 5,000 square feet, the Whistler standard for larger houses.

Kadenwood is the only enclave zoned exclusively for freestanding houses on Whistler Mountain. It provides ski-in/ski-out building sites of up to 1.5 acres with spectacular views. Lots are ready for building now. The houses built there, between 4,000 and 7,000 square feet, are mansions worth many millions of dollars.

Price Range C$600,000 - C$1,300,000

There are few lots available in this price range. Any that come available are usually sold to local residents or to developers as holding properties for future development. Older cabins have become a source of lots in the last few years, and a number of such cabins have been demolished for replacement by modern chalets. The maximum building size on such lots is usually 3,000 to 3,500 square feet.
